1. Our Commitment
Aqitas Limited (“Aqitas”) is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with respect for human rights.
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, and exploitation in all forms. We are dedicated to ensuring these practices do not exist within our operations or supply chains.
This statement is made in accordance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to transparency and responsible business practices.
2. About Aqitas
Aqitas is a technology company providing data intelligence and software platform services to organisations. Our operations are primarily digital and office-based, supported by cloud infrastructure providers and professional service partners.
While our industry presents a lower inherent risk of modern slavery compared to manufacturing or physical supply chains, we recognise that responsibility extends across all business relationships.
3. Our Approach to Human Rights
Aqitas supports internationally recognised human rights principles, including those reflected in:
- The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- International Labour Organization (ILO) core labour standards
We aim to operate in a manner that respects dignity, fairness, and equality for all individuals connected to our business.
4. Risk Assessment
We assess modern slavery risk across:
- Suppliers and service providers
- Recruitment and employment practices
- Outsourced services
- Technology and infrastructure partners
Our current risk profile is considered low, but we continue to monitor and review risks as the company grows.
5. Supply Chain Standards
We expect suppliers and partners to:
- Comply with applicable labour and employment laws
- Prohibit forced, bonded, or involuntary labour
- Prevent human trafficking and exploitation
- Provide safe and lawful working conditions
- Respect worker rights and freedoms
Where appropriate, contractual agreements include ethical and compliance expectations.
6. Employment Practices
Aqitas is committed to fair employment practices, including:
- Voluntary employment relationships
- Fair and lawful compensation
- Equal opportunity and non-discrimination
- Safe and respectful working environments
- Freedom from harassment or coercion
We do not tolerate practices that restrict worker freedom or dignity.
7. Due Diligence
To mitigate risk, Aqitas seeks to:
- Work with reputable vendors and partners
- Evaluate suppliers prior to engagement where appropriate
- Include ethical expectations within commercial agreements
- Review supplier relationships periodically
As Aqitas grows, we will continue strengthening formal due diligence processes.
8. Reporting Concerns
We encourage employees, partners, and stakeholders to report concerns relating to unethical conduct or potential human rights violations.
Reports may be made confidentially via:
Email: [email protected]
All reports are reviewed appropriately and without retaliation.
9. Training & Awareness
Aqitas promotes awareness of ethical business practices and expects personnel to act responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
As the organisation expands, we intend to introduce additional awareness and training measures proportionate to risk.
10. Continuous Improvement
We recognise that preventing modern slavery requires ongoing vigilance. Aqitas is committed to continuously improving policies, oversight, and supplier engagement as our operations evolve.
11. Approval
This statement has been approved by the leadership of Aqitas Limited and will be reviewed annually.
